CVNHP Emerging Issues Discussion

From: Jim Brannigan

Subject: CVNHP Emerging Issues Discussion

Document Attachment: Emerging Issues

The Heritage Area Program Advisory Committee (HAPAC) of the Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) met on May 14, 2012 to discuss potential areas of focus for the FY2013 Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership (CVNHP) Workplan and Budget.  The initial ideas within this report provide a foundation for discussion among the stakeholders within the national heritage area.  The HAPAC will consider and discuss suggestions from the various regional stakeholder groups (RSGs) within the CVNHP prior to providing an Emerging Issues and Opportunities Draft Report to the LCBP Executive Committee later this month.

The LCBP Executive Committee will utilize the report to provide direction to the HAPAC on which emerging issues and opportunities the committee should focus on in the development of the FY2013 CVNHP Workplan and Budget.

I have presented these ideas and concepts listed on the attached document to many of the regional stakeholder groups in the CVNHP since May 14.  Please share the attachment with your stakeholder group for feedback.  All comments and suggestions for additional programs in FY2013 should be e-mailed to me by noon on Friday, June 15, 2012.

Stakeholders should send all comments to their regional coordinators.  Please compile all  comments and suggestions and send them to me as a single document.

Thank you for your help on this matter.

Regards,

Jim
